Plains Land Bank announces retirement of CEO Gregg Lloyd, Chief Financial Officer Kay Lynn McLaughlin is Named CEO-Elect
AMARILLO, Texas – The Board of Directors for Plains Land Bank’s (PLB) is officially announcing the retirement of Chief Executive Officer Gregg Lloyd after 39 years of service with the Farm Credit System. Kay Lynn McLaughlin, the bank’s current Chief Financial Officer, has been named CEO-Elect effective March 1, 2021. She will permanently fill the position on October 1, 2021. Lloyd will remain a valuable contributor to PLB as a Special Advisor to the Board of Directors and the Association until December 31, 2021.
“I am extremely blessed to have spent my entire career in Farm Credit and with the great people of Plains Land Bank, from our customers to the Board of directors to our newest team members. I am honored and count it a privilege to have been part of the PLB team with its great passion and dedication to making dreams come true for our customers, and the heart-felt joy of helping someone ‘Own A Piece of Texas’,” said Lloyd.
Lloyd began his Farm Credit service as a Loan Officer in Pampa, and his leadership ability and drive allowed him to quickly transition to President of the Amarillo Office, CCO, and soon CEO, having held that position since June of 2010.
Lloyd says, “Seeing that big smile at the loan closing table, the warm hug and hearty handshake, and the hand-written thank you notes has been a reward. At PLB it wasn’t a career, it has become part of me, working with passionate people and serving our customers. What I am most proud of is the bright future of PLB under the leadership of Kay Lynn and the outstanding PLB team.”
CEO-Elect, Kay Lynn McLaughlin, has boldly served PLB for 11 years. She was first a Loan Officer, then a Senior Loan Officer, Operations Manager, Controller, and most recently CFO since 2018. In total, she possesses 19 years of experience in commercial and long-term lending.
