The FBI recently released a publicly available warning to its Food and Agriculture sector partners – here – referencing an increased risk of ransomware attacks to agricultural cooperatives during critical planting and harvest seasons.  This specific sector warning comes on the heels of general communications about increased ransomware risks over the last two years.

Plains Land Bank is committed to protecting its stockholders and employees from ransomware attacks and takes every precaution necessary to ensure all information, electronic and other, is secure. If you feel that you or someone you know has been targeted through the Plains Land Bank website, email, or another form of electronic communication please contact our Amarillo office at (806)353-6688.

Attached here, you will find a guide outlining steps that can be taken to minimize agriculture industry exposure to the above-mentioned cyber-attacks.
