YBS loans offer flexible financing options, guidance, and support designed to make it easier to establish yourself in agriculture and build a strong, sustainable future on the land.

Getting started in agriculture isn’t easy-especially when you’re building credit, gaining experience, and investing in your future all at once. Our Young Farmers & Ranchers Loans are designed to help producers get the financing and support they need to grow strong roots in the industry.

Must be 35 years old or younger

Actively involved in farming, ranching, or aquatic production may qualify for joint financing or down payment assistance through USDA/FSA.

Must have 10 years or less of experience

Running a small farm or ranch takes determination, creativity, and financing that’s right-sized for your goals. Our Small Farmers & Ranchers Loans are built to support operations with more modest production levels—producers who may be smaller in scale but make a big impact on their communities and local agriculture economy.

Annual gross ag income of $350,000 or less

Actively involved in farming, ranching, or aquatic production may qualify for joint financing or down payment assistance through USDA/FSA.
